Are there any character limitations for embroidery?
Monograms must be created with 3 letters. All other customizations may be up to 10 characters, including numbers & spaces. On the font Charlotte a heart may be added by using a period.
To add 10 characters, please ensure you are using the "Words & Numbers" option.
Can I customize with patches & embroidery on my item?
Patches & embroidery cannot be combined—we love the look of both ways to personalize!
Can I have a previously-purchased item embroidered?
Items cannot be sent back to our fulfillment center to be embroidered.
Is there in-store embroidery available?
Embroidery is available at all retail locations
What embroidery styles do you offer?
Hand Chain Stitch
This piece features hand chain stitch embroidery, crafted one-by-one at our Brooklyn fulfillment center using vintage machines. It’s our most premium option - slow-made, incredibly detailed, and stitched by a skilled artisan just for you.
Machine Embroidery
Your customization is stitched using a computerized embroidery machine at our fulfillment center, made to order just for you. You pick the font and thread color - we’ll handle the rest. It’s polished, personal, and ready while you shop (available at select stores).
Factory Chain Stitch
This product features pre-embroidered technique that mimics a chain stitch but is done by machine, created at the factory level. It gives you the stitched look you love, without the custom process - great for getting that elevated feel at a more accessible price point.

How long will it take to receive my order?
Our current turnaround time for can be found in your cart prior to checkout and on your email confirmation, which will be sent after placing your order. Please note that our turnaround time is subject to change. Orders are sometimes subject to delay!
Please note: Expedited and ground shipping speeds come into effect after your non-custom order has been processed and/or your custom order is completed. Choosing expedited shipping will not expedite your order's processing time. At this time, we are unable to offer expedited shipping on previously placed orders.

Are there any restrictions for my embroidered item?
At Stoney Clover Lane, we take pride in offering a variety of customization options to help create items that are truly personal. However, to comply with legal, licensing, and brand standards, there are some limitations on what can be customized.
We are unable to fulfill requests for personalization that include:
- Profanity or offensive language
- Registered trademarks, brand names, character names, slogans, or logos (e.g., "Disney", "Starbucks", "Mickey Mouse", "Hello Kitty")
- Names of public figures, celebrities, or athletes
- Political, religious, or otherwise divisive references or statements
- NFL and MLB items are unable to be customized with player numbers
- Items may not be customized with patches from multiple licensed collections and all collaborations must remain separate
